CC The genome of BGMV is composed of two single-stranded circular
CC DNAs, A and B. Nucleotide sequences of DNAs A and B revealed the
CC presence of 8 potential coding regions for proteins (ORF1,2 in A,
CC ORF3~8 in B). ORFs 5,6,7, and 8 have not the TATA sequence or the
CC AATAA sequence near the coding regions (see ). The author originally named the major DNA
CC component(shorter DNA) "DNA A" and the minor one (longer DNA) "DNA
CC B", although it's more common to call the longer DNA as "DNA A"
CC and the shorter one as "DNA B".
